We cannot stop the natural process of skin aging, and we are in it together. With age, visible wrinkles appear, the face loses some of its youthful fullness, the skin becomes thinner and drier, pigment spots appear, collagen production decreases, eyelids and contours fall. Of course, aging affects all organs, but the skin is an excellent visual example of how aging progresses. With preventative measures, a healthier lifestyle and quality daily skin care, we can slow the process naturally.
Protect yourself from the sun
Who
would not want golden brown, sun-kissed skin. We also look healthier from the
outside, but the opposite is true. The sun plays an important role in premature
aging, so protect your skin from the sun every day. Yes, even in the winter.
When you expose your skin to the sun, wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses
with UV protection. Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30, even SPF
50 in the summer. Whenever you tan, you are intentionally supporting premature
aging of your skin. Ultraviolet rays A (UVA) and ultraviolet rays B (UVB) cause
skin damage through oxidative stress and free radical formation. Up to 80% of
your skin's aging changes may actually be caused by UV radiation, not just
aging.
Healthy lifestyle
Eat
a healthy, balanced diet. Fresh fruits and vegetables prevent damage that
leads to premature aging of the skin. In contrast, a diet high in sugar,
refined carbohydrates and unhealthy fats can accelerate aging. The Mediterranean
diet, which includes lots of good protein, plenty of fruits and vegetables,
whole grains, and healthy fats like olive oil and fatty fish, is excellent.
Healthy fats are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, which can have an
impact on your health and aging.
Drink
less alcohol. Alcohol is not only harmful to your liver, but
also to your skin. It dehydrates it and eventually damages it.
Hydrate. Drink plenty of
water every day and make sure your skin is hydrated. It needs moisture.
Exercise. You'll look slimmer,
improve your blood circulation and boost your immune system. This, in turn, can
also give your skin a more youthful appearance.
Do
not smoke.
A coffee with a cigarette is sometimes an escape from the realities of everyday
life, but we probably do not need to repeat that smoking causes wrinkles, dull
and yellowish skin, among other things. Cigarette smoke contains thousands of
harmful chemicals and certainly takes its toll, most visibly on your skin.
Regular skin care
Morning
and evening, your skin care routine must be an absolute must. Remove makeup,
cleanse your skin, apply a serum, cream, oil or eye cream. Once a week use your
favourite scrub, a mask and sometimes a cosmetic treatment, spa, massage. You are
worth it. Use only quality products that you trust and have good experience with.
Educate yourself, read the ingredients ... Do not use products that burn or
sting. If your skin burns or stings, it means that it is irritated.
Use Retinoids and Vitamin C
Retinoids
such as tretinoin and retinol are compounds derived from vitamin A. We swear by bacuchiol, which acts like retinol. Its great advantage is its gentleness. It
does not irritate the skin and does not cause burning or peeling of the skin.
Retinoids generally help rejuvenate the skin by increasing skin cell turnover,
which is how quickly your body forms new layers of skin and gets rid of old,
dead skin cells. They can also increase collagen production.
Vitamin C(ascorbic acid) is a natural antioxidant and one of the most commonly used
supplements to reverse skin aging. Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant against
free radicals that cause various damages, including skin aging. Products that
contain retinol, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C and are free of harmful cosmetic
ingredients, allergens, irritants, synthetic preservatives, synthetic dyes,
unstable vitamins, mineral oils, synthetic fragrances and essential oils, like
Noili's products, are the right choice for younger and healthier looking skin.
